Troubleshooting

The tracker is offline

  1. Check that IF Plug is fully inserted in the OBD port and that the vehicle has been started within the last day.
  2. Wired tracker: check power and fuse.
  3. Drive the vehicle outdoors for 5 minutes. Indoors there is often neither GPS nor network.
  4. Still offline? Send a support request with the tracker's IMEI.

A tag is not seen

  • Is the tag activated (pull-tab removed, magnet used)?
  • Is it inside a metal box? Move it to the outside.
  • Is there a tracker within range (20–100 m)? Tags are only seen by trackers.
  • Check the tag's battery level in IFAPP.

A worker's time is not recorded

  • Is the tag linked to the person under Users?
  • Is there a tracker on the site, or is the geofence map-only? Without a tracker, workers are only recorded in the vehicle.
  • Was the tag in the van all day? Then the time counts as driving time.

The vehicle shows the wrong position

GPS can be inaccurate in underground car parks and between tall buildings. When the vehicle drives outdoors, the position corrects itself within a minute.

Kilometres in IFAPP don't match the odometer

The tracker measures kilometres via GPS. Small deviations (1–3%) are normal. IF Wire CAN reads the vehicle's own odometer.
